REBECCA DiMaio

I studied English at the University of Maryland and have always loved suspense, horror, and stories with psychological grit and darkness, and I want nothing more than to be lost in my own worlds. By day, I’m kept busy with my three small children, my portly French bulldog, and my husband of thirteen years. By night, I write, exploring themes of trauma, psychology, isolation, and twisted family dynamics, alongside the supernatural and gothic. My first manuscript is out on submission with my wonderful agent, Dawn Frederick — a story about an isolated mountain town that is, in truth, a cult. I’m currently working on a Southern Gothic horror/suspense novel set in the Louisiana bayou, and every day I think of more twisted stories I can’t wait to flesh out.

I live in Wilmington, NC. When I'm not writing, I'm on the boat with the kids or trying to relax with them at the beach.
